Amis
I miss (Amis)…
- My house 3 years ago when my parents and my brothers were here.
- The smell of dirty dishes after my mother cooked.
- The noise that my father always make in the morning and woke me up with his ‘nasi goreng’.
- The social-religion discussion with my mother, she always know how to react when her son asked something extreme.
- The endless discussion with my older brother about science fiction movie.
- My mother’s yell because I was too lazy to clean the house.
- My father’s insight about politics and human interaction.
- My younger brother’s curiousity about technology.
- The sound of grinder when my mother mix ‘bumbu pecel’.
- The weird elephanist-sound from my auntie’s nose when she got cold and allergic to something.
- My mother’s cook.
- The irritated feeling when one of my brothers switched channel suddenly while I was watching my favorite TV show.
- How my mother always cleaned the house neatly and my father ruined in again with his tools.
- The guilty feeling when I got home after 00:00 pm and I don’t have keys so I had to wake my father.
- The unperfect interaction between my family.
- The company of my family.
You know, privacy is heavily overrated. Loneliness is sometimes unbearable. The only thing I have as my company here is an albino gecko.
